Name Date State County Interstate Route Problem Location Problem Description Detailed Comments Suggestions
07/01/2012
Maryland
Baltimore
I-695
Entrance ramp from Frederick Ave.
Pavement Condition (damage, age)
Road surface is splitting down the middle with other noticeable cracks.
Repave the ramp for smoother ride.
04/29/2012
Illinois
Rock Island
I-280 and I-74
Interchange onto I-74
Ride Quality (uneven grade, rough)
Considerable crumbling road surface around the Moline area, especially entering I-74. Drivers must endure cracks in the middle of the lanes over the fading white dashes and on the edge shoulder, with worn pavement all over.
Rehab the highway surfaces at this crucial corner of the Illinois-Iowa border.
11/26/2011
Pennsylvania
Montgomery
I-276 & 1-76
Near Willow Grove toll plaza
Pavement Condition (damage, age)
Poor, worn out pavement surface at beginning of Pennsylvania Turnpike, soon after the Willow Grove toll plaza. Continuing on 1-76 for several miles, one drives over a bumpy stretch.
Aging surface should be rehabilitated with new asphalt or blacktop resurfacing across all traffic lanes.
11/12/2011
New Jersey
Mercer
U.S. Route 1
Washington Rd. and Route 1
Traffic flow (merges, congestion)
Circular intersection here is not conducive to traffic flow. Long queues quickly develop at the two row of red lights here and two on the side. Motorists easily become confused on right-of-way. This becomes a chokepoint during the mornings and afternoon rush hour.
Knock down the medians and install a perpendicular traffic light intersection here with left turn signals for all directions. This will speed up the northbound traffic to NY and southbound to PA as well as traffic in and out of Princeton campus and train station.
